Recreation in Holiday Village Kukkapää can be quite diverse and it depends on your preferences and desires only. It can be filled with the brightest and most memorable entertainments or remain quiet and calm. Everybody will find something to his/her liking! LARGE GUEST SAUNA

Sauna is an integral part of the Finnish culture; otherwise you won’t enjoy recreation in the Land of a Thousand Lakes to the full extent. The time spent here will restore the balance of mind and body and fill you with strength and positive energy. The sauna in our complex is designed for comfortable stay of up to 20 people. It’s located in a separate building and equipped with everything one needs for proper recreation: a Finnish sweat bath, a dining area, a mini-kitchen fully equipped with necessary dishware, a lounge room and a piazza with the view to the lake. Our guests are offered free sets of sauna supplies: slippers, towels, sheets, hats as per the number of guests (for no more than 10 people). Sauna rental cost:
✔€170 per 3 hours on weekends and holidays;
✔€120 per 3 hours on weekdays.

GARDEN HOUSE WITH A CHARGRILL

A timber garden house with a chargrill and a fumatory is located on the bank of the lake specially for our guests. The garden house is a perfect place for a barbecue among family members or friends, for celebrating one’s birthday, for a banquet or any other event a company of up to 8 people arranges. We are always glad to give you tips on the best recipes of fish, meat and vegetables cooked as per the best Finnish traditions. Rental cost is €30 per 3 hours. Preliminary booking is required. Every subsequent hour – €10.

FISHING TOUR WITH A GUIDE

The Saimaa Lake is a true Paradise for fans of fishing. Here you can go fishing both in summer and in winter – the catch will be equally perfect. Our wonderful guides are glad to arrange fishing tours for both professionals and beginners to provide a memorable experience for you. The guide will take you to the modern powerboat equipped with professional devices, give you a tour across the best fishing spots and choose a necessary bait. You will definitely get not only good rest, but impressive catch as well! We offer a few fishing programs. We’ll be glad to provide details on request.

FISHING GEAR

When planning your recreation here you don’t need to bring fishing equipment. You can rent anything you need for fishing in our complex without bothering to buy expensive float rods or bringing a lot of gear. Cost of Services:

FISHING LICENSE

In Finland fishing is not pleasant only, but strictly regulated as well. Some fishing techniques require having a special license you can buy in our complex. Also, we are willing to provide a map of water area near the complex and information about fishing spots. Cost of the license:

✔1 week – €15

RENT OF ENGINE WITH PETROLEUM FOR THE BOAT

Boats in our complex are great for fishing or boating across the nearby area. Row boats are included in the cost of accommodation in the complex. But if you prefer a faster ride, we suggest you should try renting boat engines (the cost includes a gull tank of fuel).
Cost of service: €55/day.

SUP BOARD RENTAL

SUP-surfing is one of the most popular summer activities. This does not require a serious training and is available to both children and the elderly. In Kukkapaa we offer SUP boards renting to enjoy a leisure rowing on the water surface of the lake and admire the surrounding natural landscapes. Our boards are suitable for guests weighing up to 150 kg. The SUP board rental cost is:
✔ 1 hour - 20€; ✔ 2 hours - 35€; ✔ 3 hours - 40€.

Bicycles

A perfect thing for active leisure is cycling to change the rhythm of the urban life. While staying here you can cycle in local primary forests, which will be beneficial for both you and all your family members. Even a simple walk in such places can recharge energies, calm down and vitalize wonderfully.
Bicycle rental cost is included to accomodation rate.

EQUIPMENT FOR NORDIC WALKING

Nordic walking is one of the most popular kinds of outdoor physical exercises which is available for everyone without exceptions regardless of sex, age and physical fitness. Necessary equipment with special (not ski!) sticks can be rented in our complex. Our staff will be glad to tell you the rules of Nordic walking in order to ensure maximum health-promoting effect and point to the routes for entertaining trips across the Sulkava surroundings.
Cost is €10/3 hours.

POOLROOM

A round of pool is a great opportunity to get light physical exercise and also to enjoy, both, the game and the your friends.
Price is €10/2 hours. Opening hous: 11am - 7pm

FOR YOUNG GUESTS

We are particularly passionate about our youngest guests. Specially for them our complex is equipped with a cozy corner with a wide range of games and entertainments in the main building in case of bad weather. If necessary, we’ll be glad to provide a crib with bed clothing or a highchair for a kid.

GEAR FOR ACTIVE LEISURE

Kukkapää offers most diverse recreation both in winter and in summer. Balls, football gates, a volleyball net, frisbees, badminton rackets, life rings and air mattresses are at your service on the territory of the complex. And in winter skates, donut tubes, cross-country skis and Finnish sleds can be rented for active leisure.

ROW BOAT IS INCLUDED IN THE ACCOMMODATION COST

Boating across the most beautiful Saimaa Lake will be interesting for many guests, since they imply fishing, wildlife photography, friendly contests or simply relaxation. A row boat is included in the cost of accommodation for all guests of the complex.

ACCOMMODATION WITH PETS

Many of us consider four-legged friends full family members. So a recreation trip means travelling with a pet. Accommodation with pets is available in Kukkapää, but only upon prior request and in certain cottages. The cost of pet accommodation is €10/night.

SET OF BED CLOTHING

A good sleep is a prerequisite of good health and restoration of physical strength. There are many factors the quality of sleep depends on, but primarily - on how comfortable a bed, a pillow, a blanket and bed clothing are. Cottages are rented without bed clothing in our complex, but you can always book a necessary number of high-quality bedding sets. Cost of a set (bed clothing and a towel included) – €10 per person. Set with a bed made – €12 per person.

FINAL CLEANING

After departure of guests each cottage is thoroughly cleaned. Professional cleaners are used only, which ensures cleanness and hygiene of the place. The final cleaning is not included in the accommodation tariff, so it needs to be paid additionally during check out. The cost of service is €35.

FOR GRILL AND BARBECUE

Hardly anyone doesn’t like outdoor rest along with cooking meat or freshly caught fish. In our complex we provide you all the necessary things: a chargrill, some kindling and coals.

LAUNDRY

While staying in the complex our guests can use the laundry room if necessary; it is located in the main building of the complex. The cost of washing machine rent is €5/wash. Washing powder, conditioner and rinses are not included in the cost of the service.

PLACES FOR BOAT PARKING

If you are a happy owner of a boat or a powerboat and use it actively during the season, but don’t have a permanent parking place, we will be glad to offer you one to rent at the pier of our complex. Cost – €15/day

A PLACE FOR CAMPING

Camping is one of the best places to travel across Finland. If you belong to fans of this kind of leisure, you are welcome to stay on the territory of our complex. There are specially equipped placed for tents/trailers/campers of the guests of our complex. Cost – €30/day

SERVICES FOR MEETINGS AND NEGOTIATIONS

Have a business meeting, a training or a seminar planned? We’ll be glad to organize your event in the conference hall of our complex that suits for meetings of up to 30 people. A screen, a projector, a flip chart, writing utensils, a TV and other equipment can be provided on request.

BANQUET SERVICE

Banquets can be organized and catered in Kukkapää. We’ll take care of all the worries about preparation and arrangement of celebrations: birthdays, weddings, picnics, company parties, etc. Barbecue or just a picnic can be arranged outdoor. We guarantee impeccable quality and personal approach to every client.
